Patching fixtures tells lighting controllers about your fixture configuration and how to find and communicate with each fixture based on its assigned DMX starting address. The patch assigns DMX channel addresses to corresponding fixture profiles. DMX addresses are chosen from 1 to 512 and the first DMX channel number assigned to a fixture (in the Chromateq software) must match the DMX address on the fixture itself.
