Chromateq

A Program is a playback element in Chromateq software that functions similarly to Scenes and Steps, but with several key differences. Programs are triggered in Live mode, where one or more Programs may be played simultaneously, allowing multiple layers of effects—such as movement, colour changes, dimming, or strobing—to be combined during live operation.

Unlike Scenes, Programs do not run sequentially. Instead, they overlay their effects on top of the current output. And unlike Steps, which record and reproduce DMX values for all 512 channels of a Universe, Programs apply their DMX values only to a defined set of active channels. This makes Programs ideal for building dynamic, modular effects that can be freely combined in Live mode.
